Performs machine set-up, machining, wiring, electrical set up and checks. . Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic mechanical and electrical preparation tasks and verification. Looking for resources with basic mechanical experience and electrical experience. These resources will be working with various tools including power drills, adhesive, wrenches, etc. The team will train these resources within the areas they will be working on, training can last up to 3-4 weeks depending on the level of experience they are coming in with.
Requirements:
Understanding of mechanical and electrical methods/workings with a technical background (doesn;t need to have multiple years of experience just an understanding and eagerness to work within this field)
Weld experience is a must, looking for friction stir experience as well as mechanical experience.
Need to be technically savvy and have experience working with tools, machines, wires, and adhesive
Adaptable, flexible, eager to learn
– Electrical (harnesses stripping wire repin things Tork wrenches power screwdrivers hardware shielded wires0
– Mechanical (drill guns, drilling through hardware, putting in brackets)
Eye exam will be required for the 3 electrical specialists
Physical Requirements:
Safety glasses, may have to get a mask requirement (will be determined post start based on what area they are working in)
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
Qualify to wear a harness for fall protection (350 lbs weight restriction for harnesses)
Crane certification (cert can be awarded post start at Boeing if wanted during training – this is not required to be hired for this role)
Education: High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
