  • Flight Readiness Technician B -67387

    Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Associate or Experienced Flight Readiness Technician (Level B) to support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on a Variable Shift!

    This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. Qualified candidates will perform routine final component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

    Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.

    Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.

    Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

    Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

    Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

    Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.

    Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.

    6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience.

    6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.

    6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

    Shift:
    This position is for a variable shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is need.

    Regular and predictable attendance is required.
